Freedom Programme 2026 - Domestic Abuse Recovery

Eastend Futures Freedom Programme Feedback

At Eastend Futures CIC, we always encourage honest feedback so we can keep improving the way we deliver our sessions. All feedback is anonymous, and the responses we received were incredibly genuine, heartfelt and inspiring.

What is the Freedom Programme?

The Freedom Programme is an, internationally recognised course designed for women who have been subjected to Domestic Abuse. Whether the abuse happened in the past or is ongoing, this programme provides a safe, non-judgmental environment to help make sense of what has happened.

Our goal is simple: to empower you with the knowledge and confidence to protect yourself and your children, helping you move forward toward a safer, happier future.

How the Programme Helps

The course is delivered over 8 weeks by our specialist domestic abuse team at East End Futures. It breaks down the mechanics of abuse, focusing on:

  • Understanding the Tactics: Learning to identify the different personas and behaviors used by abusive partners (such as control, isolation, and manipulation).
  • Validating Your Experience: Realising that the abuse was never your fault and that you are not alone in your experiences.
  • The Impact on Children: Exploring how domestic abuse affects children’s wellbeing and how to support them in healing.
  • Recognizing Healthy Relationships: Learning what a respectful, loving, and equal partnership looks like so you can protect your future.
  • Building Confidence: Rediscovering your self-worth, making informed choices, and gaining the tools to reclaim your independence.

What to Expect

We know that taking the first step can feel daunting. Here is what you can expect when you join us:

  • Absolute Safety & Confidentiality: The group is completely private. Your safety is our absolute priority.
  • A Warm Welcome: No one is judged, and no one is forced to speak. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.
  • Free to Attend: With the support of funding and sponsorship, we can ensure women access our sessions at no cost.
  • Peer Support: You will meet other women who truly understand what you have been through, creating a powerful network of mutual support.
